Overview
Sonia Gordon-Dole, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine. She is a seasoned Rheumatologist with over 30 years of experience.
Dr. Gordon-Dole was awarded her undergraduate and medical degree from the University of Connecticut. She served on the admissions committee as a medical student at UConn Health.
Dr. Gordon-Dole was in intern at Yale. She completed her residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury. She was chief resident in the Yale Primary Care Residency Program and completed her Rheumatology fellowship at Yale.
She was part of the volunteer faculty while in private practice at the Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center P.C, for over 25 years. She joined the section of Rheumatology, Allergy, and Immunology as a full-time faculty member in the fall of 2019.
Dr. Gordon-Dole has actively trained several mid-level providers in the field of Rheumatology and mentored junior faculty over the years. She has also introduced many medical students to the field of Rheumatology. She enjoys precepting medical students, nursing students, and MPH students at the weekend Neighborhood Health Project Clinic.
She has been selected as one of Connecticut Magazine's "Top Doctor" for many years.
Dr. Gordon-Dole enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, musical theater, audiobooks, and going for long walks along the Connecticut River.
