Overview

M. Natalie Achong is an assistant clinical professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the Yale University School of Medicine. She is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist and has practiced medicine for over 15 years in Connecticut. Dr. Achong gives presentations on women’s health and wellness, cultural competency and intimate partner violence.

Dr. Achong received her M.D. from New York University School of Medicine. She serves as president of the Connecticut Society of the National Medical Association and was an editor of the Journal of the National Medical Association and is a member of the Yale Obstetrical and Gynecologic Society. Dr. Achong received the State of Connecticut African American Affairs Commission Woman of the Year Award and the National Medical Association Region I Physician Leader of the Year. She serves on the State of Connecticut African American Affairs Commission advisory council for health and is a charter member of the World Affairs Council of Connecticut, Global Woman’s Issues Forum. Dr. Achong was elected to the National Medical Association board of trustees and is a member of the multi-cultural training committee at the State of Connecticut Office of Minority Health.
