Biography
Matthew Kan is a certified PA (NCCPA) with the division of General Surgery, Trauma and Surgical Critical Care. He primarily works within the surgical intensive care units at both York Street and Saint Raphael campuses. After receiving his M.S. in PA Studies from Johnson & Wales University, he pursued post-graduate education at the Norwalk Hospital / Yale School of Medicine PA Surgical Residency Program and trained broadly in general, trauma, colorectal, bariatric, vascular, cardiothoracic, urologic, gynecologic, orthopedic, neurologic, and plastic surgery. Matthew is highly regarded by his peers for compassionate patient care and he maintains strong interests in the resuscitation of the critically ill, the use of point of care ultrasound in medicine, and medical education / preceptorship.
