Biography
Louis Fazen is a current first year fellow in Yale Occupational and Environmental Medicine. After initially completing a BA in cultural studies, Louis became interested in medicine and public health. After a post-baccalaureate premedical program, he attended the MD-PhD program at Yale University. For his PhD in public health, Louis focused on addressing social and environmental barriers to primary care by working closely with community health volunteers in the delivery of community-based primary care. Using mixed-methods research, Louis implemented and evaluated the use of electronic clinical decision support algorithms for improving the quality of primary care. Following his PhD, Louis completed his Internal Medicine residency in the Yale Primary Care program. He is now thrilled to be part of the Yale Occupational and Environmental Medicine Program.
