Biography
Kumar Dharmarajan, MD, MBA is a cardiologist, geriatrician and Chief Scientific Officer at Clover Health, a Medicare Advantage and technology company. Dr. Dharmarajan leads Clover's clinical programs and R&D initiatives for its most medically complex members. Previously, Dr. Dharmarajan was on full time faculty at Yale, during which time he sought to improve the quality of hospital and post-acute care for older adults through research and quality measure development for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. His work has appeared in multiple journals including the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, the British Medical Journal, and Health Affairs. He is a member of the Cardiovascular Standing Committee of the National Quality Forum and remains adjunct faculty at the Yale School of Medicine. He earned his AB at Harvard and MD and MBA at Columbia. He continues to practice geriatrics in Clover’s house calls programs and cardiology at Yale New Haven Hospital.
