Biography

Dr. Kristen Olivera received her bachelor's degree in molecular biology from Princeton University in 2018 and her PhD from Yale in 2025. Her graduate work in the laboratory of Dr. Ya-Chi Ho focused on the immune environment in lymph nodes during SIV infection of rhesus macaques as a model for people living with HIV-1. She received travel awards to present this work at conferences including the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections (2023) and the Strategies for an HIV Cure Meeting (2023). She currently is continuing her work in the Ho Lab as a postdoctoral associate.
