Biography
John Hufnagle joined Yale in 2021 as a member of the Integrated Interventional Radiology residency program. John was raised in Massachusetts and attended college at Loyola University Maryland in Baltimore. After college, John studied at Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska where he developed an interest in diagnostic imaging and imaged-guided interventions, and was awarded the Outstanding Student in Radiology Award by the Department of Radiology. He also began working with the Society of Interventional Radiology's Resident, Fellow, and Student section and finding opportunities to tutor fellow students.
John completed his internship in a combination of internal medicine and surgery at Yale-New Haven Hospital. He now trains in diagnostic and interventional radiology, with particular interest in endovascular interventions, vascular anomalies, pediatric interventional radiology, and vascular imaging. He also continues his work with the SIR and continues to find opportunities to teach medical students and co-residents.
Outside of work, John enjoys running, golfing, swimming, reading, and messing around in boats.
