Yale Child Study Center Tic and OCD Program Designated Center of Excellence

Yale Child Study Center (YCSC) Associate Professors Thomas Fernandez, MD and Michael Bloch, MD were recently notified by the Tourette Association of America (TAA) that the center’s Tic and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) Program has been renewed as a TAA Center of Excellence. Fernandez and Bloch serve as co-directors of program.

As part of the YCSC clinical practice, Tic and OCD program services include evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents, and young adults with tics, obsessive compulsive disorders, hair pulling, ADHD symptoms and related difficulties. This includes cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), habit reversal training for the treatment of trichotillomania (hair pulling), and psychopharmacological evaluations as well as ongoing medication management.
