The Yale Child Study Center (YCSC) psychology practicum training program is currently open to applications for the 2025-2026 academic year, with a submission deadline of February 1, 2025.
This year-long program for doctoral students in clinical or school psychology typically takes place July 1 through June 30 each year. Training is provided within a designated track in areas including child and adolescent outpatient psychotherapy; developmental disabilities assessment and therapy; early childhood evaluation and treatment; emotion and systems neuroscience; pediatric neuropsychological assessment; and pediatric psychology. All tracks are supervised by a fully licensed psychologist.
Practicum students commit 10-15 hours per week to clinical care, with some flexibility around scheduling to accommodate clients and their families, including one to two evenings each week. Requirements to apply include enrollment in an accredited clinical or school psychology doctoral program with good academic standing and completion of at least two years of graduate work.
Applications are accepted from November 1 through February 1 each year. Interviews take place on a rolling basis, and final decisions are made by mid-March. Additional details and application instructions are available on the program website, and questions can be sent via e-mail to YCSC Assistant Professor Jessica Mayo.
