Hi everyone,

Statistics don’t capture the beautiful essays, leadership experiences, research accomplishments, and kindness that won our hearts on interview days. Just as important: our interns paint, cook, bake, swim, ski, run, bike, and hike. They dance, write, meditate, repair furniture, and travel. They play tennis, soccer, frisbee, volleyball, board games, and chess. They watch football and sew. They brew coffee and beer. They fish, kayak, and lift weights. They take photos, create models, and make candles and soap. They train dogs and cuddle with cats. They play the violin, viola, and piano. They sing. They style hair. They climb mountains. They collect coins and watch “The Simpsons.” And they eat ice cream.
Next week our new interns will get to introduce themselves in our annual “Getting to Know You” PD Note. Can’t wait!
Have a great day, everyone. I’ll be finishing two weeks in the SDU today before returning to the MICU tomorrow.
