Strengthen your evidence-based practice (EBP) search skills in this practical and interactive session designed for learners in the health sciences. Through a real-world clinical scenario, you’ll explore the first two steps of EBP: forming an answerable clinical question using the PICO framework and performing a targeted PubMed search.

Participants will learn to distinguish between background and foreground questions, understand the hierarchy of evidence, and simple search techniques

The class will also introduce Clinical Queries in PubMed and how to select the most relevant evidence based on study design. By the end of the workshop, attendees will be able to conduct focused PubMed searches with greater confidence and apply EBP concepts to explore clinical questions more effectively.
