Diseases of the Cardiovascular System

Left vs Left RCT

What is the purpose of this trial?

Cardiac-resynchronization therapy (CRT) is a type of heart failure (HF) treatment and is helpful in patients with both reduced ejection fraction (weak heart) and conduction system abnormalities (electricity flow throughout the heart is slow or occurs through abnormal pathways). CRT can be delivered by pacing in one of two different configurations: biventricular pacing (BiVP) or pacing at a place called the His or left bundle branch (His/LBBP). The purpose of this study is to compare BiVP with His/LBBP.
