Biography

Tanvee Varma is a resident-physician in internal medicine at Brigham and Women's. She received her medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine in 2023 and graduated with honors from Wellesley College with a degree in economics and health and society in 2018. She was awarded the Fulbright-Nehru Research Scholarship in 2019 to conduct research on public health nutrition in New Delhi.

She is passionate about clinical trial diversity, drug policy, and equity in cancer care. As an advocate for universal healthcare, she is a board member of Medicare for All Connecticut. She is also conducting research on the representation of women, older adults, and racial and ethnic minorities in clinical research as a researcher at the Cancer Outcomes, Public Policy, and Effectiveness Research Center and Bioethics International.
