Biography
Nouralison Abdella, OD, FAAO, is a pediatric optometrist who provides comprehensive eye care to infants, children, and adolescents at the Yale New Haven Children's Hospital's Pediatric Specialty Centers in Greenwich and Norwalk.
Dr. Abdella completed her undergraduate education at Fordham University and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the State University of New York College of Optometry. Upon graduation, she received the Good-Lite Pediatric Award for Excellence in Pediatric Optometry and the Eschenbach Award for Excellence in Low Vision. Dr. Abdella completed her residency training in Pediatric Optometry at the State University of New York College of Optometry and NYC Health + Hospitals/Woodhull.
In addition to clinical care, Dr. Abdella has also lectured to fellow optometrists during continuing education programs and presented posters at national and international optometry conferences on various topics in pediatric optometry. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry (FAAO), an active member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the New York State Optometric Association (NYSOA), and a board member of the NYSOA's Young Advocate Committee.
Dr. Abdella is fluent in English and Spanish and is licensed to practice optometry in New York and Connecticut.
Dr. Abdella is dedicated to providing thorough, compassionate, patient-centered care to children of all ages.
