Marta Herger, MD, is a child and adolescent psychiatrist and forensic psychiatrist who is dedicated to diagnosing and treating a range of psychiatric conditions in children and adolescents, utilizing personalized therapeutic approaches to support their mental well-being.

Dr. Herger specializes in cases where mental health issues overlap with legal concerns, providing expert assessments and interventions. As an assistant professor of psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Herger is involved in research aimed at understanding and improving mental health care for young individuals within legal contexts.

She completed her medical training at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and pursued a residency in psychiatry and pediatrics, as well as a fellowship in child psychiatry at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Herger further specialized with a fellowship in forensic psychiatry at Yale School of Medicine.
