Mancy Tong

Mancy completed her doctoral training with Professor Larry Chamley in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at The University of Auckland in 2017. The focus of her project was to investigate the cargos of extracellular vesicles released by human placentas during healthy and diseased pregnancies. Mancy is now a postdoctoral associate under the mentorship of Dr Vikki Abrahams at the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine. She has two ongoing projects that explores 1) the impact of polymicrobial fetal membrane infections on neutrophil survival and function in the context of preterm labor; and 2) how antiphospholipid autoantibodies (aPL) affect endometrial stromal cell decidualization and function.
