Jennifer McQuaid, PhD, MA, BA

Dr. McQuaid is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Yale Center for Asylum Medicine. Since joining in 2017, she has focused on capacity building - training, speaking and supervising - in the network of pro-bono medical and psychological clinicians, trainees and students who collaborate with legal teams representing asylum seekers. At YCAM, Dr. McQuaid coordinates and performs mental health evaluations of asylum seekers in order to provide objective psychological assessments of reported histories of torture and persecution. She is coordinating three research studies focused on the mental health and well-being of asylum seekers during the post-migration period, and serves as a faculty mentor on the implementation of trauma-informed care at HAVEN refugee clinic.
