Biography
Dr. Jean Gabriel Charchaflieh is Associate Professor of Anesthesiology at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Charchaflieh received his medical degree from Aleppo University Medical School in Syria in 1983. Following a Research Fellowship in Anesthesiology at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School in Boston, he completed a residency in Anesthesiology at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL and a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York. Later, Dr. Charchaflieh completed a second fellowship in Anesthesiology at State University of New York, Health Science Center in Brooklyn, NY. In 2004, he received an MPH from State University of New York Downstate Medical Center and subsequently a Doctor of Public Health degree in 2010. In 2011, Dr. Charchaflieh joined the Yale School of Medicine faculty.
