Biography

Effective July 2022, George Goshua, MD, MSc is an Assistant Professor of Medicine (Hematology) in the Clinician-Scientist Track. His research interests are in decision analytic modeling and health economics, with a focus on classical hematology and an emphasis on cost-effective, sustainable, and affordable medical care. His clinical interests are in classical hematology, with a focus in immunohematology and thrombosis. He has authored original first-author publications in Blood, The Lancet Haematology, The Lancet Regional Health, Blood Advances, American Journal of Hematology, supporting author publications in Blood, Clinical Infectious Diseases, Science Immunology, Chest, and Blood Advances, invited editorials in Clinical Infectious Diseases, Research and Practice in Thrombosis and Haemostasis, and the British Journal of Haematology, as well as narrative medicine publications in the Journal of General Internal Medicine and the Annals of Internal Medicine. He is a 2021 American Journal of Hematology Young Investigator Award recipient, 2021-2022 Yale Bernard G. Forget Scholar, and 2022-2023 Chair of the Hemostasis and Thrombosis Research Society Fellows Council.
