Biography

Fatima Khan, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Section of Digestive Diseases at the Yale School of Medicine. She earned her Doctor of Medicine at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry after graduating from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Science. She completed her internal medicine residency at New York- Presbyterian Hospital/ Columbia Medical Center and her gastroenterology fellowship at Yale University.

She specializes in the care of hospitalized patients with gastrointestinal issues and performs a range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. She is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care grounded in evidence-based medicine. She is actively involved in medical education and works closely with trainees.

Fatima Khan, MD, is a board-certified gastroenterologist and an assistant professor in the Section of Digestive Diseases at Yale University School of Medicine.

She specializes in the care of hospitalized patients with gastrointestinal issues, ranging from acute emergencies to exacerbations of chronic conditions. She also performs endoscopic procedures to help diagnose and treat these conditions.

“Having cared for a sick loved one, I know how stressful and overwhelming hospitalization can be,” she says. “My goal is to help patients and families navigate their illness by providing clear explanations, compassionate support, and guidance in making informed decisions, while delivering care based on the best available evidence.”
