Daniela Hochreiter, MD

Daniela Hochreiter completed medical school at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria where she was born and raised. She finished her Pediatric residency at Brenner Children's Hospital/ Wake Forest University Medical Center in North Carolina in 2014. This was followed by a Chief Residency year at the Herman and Walter Samuelson Children’s Hospital at Sinai in Baltimore. Since 2015 she has been a Pediatric Hospitalist at Yale School of Medicine. Dr. Hochreiter is the Medical Director of the Pediatric Hospitalist Program at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London. She cares for newborns to young adult patients in the inpatient setting. As a member of the YNHCH quality improving steering committee, Dr. Hochreiter devotes her time to quality improvement with a focus on newborn care. She is also interested in medical education of new mothers, patients, and trainees. She is board certified in General Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospitalist Medicine. Outside of work, Dr. Hochreiter loves spending time with her family, exploring new places, trail running, cooking, and yoga.
