Overview
Brooke Lichak, MD, is a pediatric hospitalist dedicated to helping children with a wide range of conditions recover and thrive. She says, “My favorite part of my job is seeing the moment a child starts to feel better. Watching their energy, personality, and silliness come back is incredibly rewarding and reminds me why I chose pediatrics.”
As an assistant professor of pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Lichak focuses on quality improvement, clinical informatics, and high-value care. “I chose to specialize in pediatric hospital medicine because it allows me to care for children with a wide variety of conditions while collaborating with specialists across every area of pediatrics,” she explains. “I love that there is always something new to learn, making every day intellectually challenging and deeply rewarding.”
Dr. Lichak received her medical degree from Penn State College of Medicine and completed her pediatric residency at Yale School of Medicine, where she pursued additional tracks in quality improvement and global health. Away from work, she enjoys discovering new restaurants, reading at the beach, and getting ready for her next road race.
