Biography

Dr. Johanna LaSala is an assistant professor of medicine (medical oncology and hematology). She is focused on the care of patients with breast cancer and brings extensive experience to patients and families.

Dr. LaSala received her medical degree from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and completed her residency and fellowship at Cornell Medical Center. Over the past 30 years she has been dedicated to clinical care, while participating in quality improvement, and supporting medical education and system development. In 2019, Dr. LaSala received the Smilow Luminary Award of Excellence. This award recognizes staffor teams that consistently exceed performance expectations and deliver high quality cancer care for patients, families, and the health system through community service, optimization and innovative solutions, patient experience, leadership, and research initiatives.
She has also been recognized as a Connecticut Magazine Top Doctor.
