César Caraballo Cordovez, MD

César, a native of Medellin, Colombia, embarked on his medical journey at the University of Antioquia, where he contributed to several research studies on sepsis. After earning his medical degree in 2017, he dedicated nearly a year to working in a rural emergency department in Colombia. Here, he encountered a variety of clinical and public health challenges, igniting his passion for investigating healthcare access and quality of care.

In 2018, César advanced his education by graduating from the Harvard Medical School Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Program. He then joined the Yale Center for Outcomes Research and Evaluation, participating in and leading several studies on cardiology and public health topics. Currently, he is an internal medicine resident at Yale New Haven Hospital.

As an aspiring cardiologist, César’s research interests are deeply rooted in patient-centered outcomes and quality of care in cardiovascular diseases. He is particularly focused on exploring racial and ethnic disparities in health and healthcare access, aiming to contribute to the advancement of equitable healthcare practices.
