Biography

Dr. Martina Glavan is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the Department of Neuroscience at the Yale School of Medicine, where she specializes in stroke research, innovative therapies and neuroimaging. Her overarching goal is to advance stroke management through innovative pharmacotherapy approaches. Martina earned her PhD through the Marie Curie program, a highly competitive doctoral fellowship sponsored by the European Commission. In addition to her scientific contributions, Martina is an active advocate for science outreach and serves in various organizations, including the Croatian Society of Human Genetics, Yale Neuroscience Postdoc Committee, Marie Curie Alumni Association, American Heart Association and others. Martina's commitment to fostering scientific engagement, especially in empowering young women interested in science, has led her to serve as an ambassador for various national and international initiatives. She is an awardee of the Center for Brain & Mind Health Center (CBMH) grant, a program centered at the Yale School of Medicine that brings together clinical and translational neuroscience investigators.
