Strategic Plan 2026 Process & Steps

The plan is organized by mission, with mission goals and cross-cutting themes. Cross-cutting themes capture threads that recur across missions and include enhancing communication, breaking down silos, building and stewarding resources, and achieving administrative excellence.

The entire YSM community was invited to provide feedback on the school’s mission statement which was formally adopted by the school and shared in October 2020.

About the Dean

Nancy J. Brown, M.D. is the Jean and David W. Wallace Dean of Yale School of Medicine and the C.N.H. Long professor of Internal Medicine. A graduate of Yale College and Harvard Medical School, Dr. Brown has led a translational research program that focuses on developing new pharmacological strategies to prevent vascular disease in patients with high blood pressure and diabetes.
