Zhiyuan Chen, MD, MPH

Zhiyuan Chen, MD, MPH was trained at Southern Medical University and New York University. He used to do HIV research work at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a public health medical doctor in Shanghai. Currently, he joins Dr. Josephine Hoh's Lab at Yale School of Public Health and focuses on animal research with the ophthalmology and visual science department. Zhiyuan is particularly interested in exploring the gene pathway of Age-related macular degeneration (AMD). He is also interested in the study of HtrA family genes and other chronic disease animal models.
