Zhiyuan Chen, MD, MPH

Zhiyuan Chen, MD, MPH, received his medical training in preventive medicine at Southern Medical University and earned his Master of Public Health from New York University. Before joining Yale, he worked as a public health physician conducting HIV research at the Shanghai Municipal Center for Disease Control and Prevention. He is currently an Associate Research Scientist at Yale, where his work bridges genomics, ophthalmology, and visual science. His research focuses on the genetic and molecular mechanisms underlying age-related macular degeneration (AMD).
