Biography

Yan Wang is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Biomedical Informatics and Data Science (BIDS) at Yale University. His research focuses on artificial intelligence for biomedical and clinical applications, with particular interests in large language models, clinical natural language processing, biomedical knowledge representation, medical concept normalization, federated learning, and intelligent healthcare systems. He has developed AI methods, systems, and benchmarks for clinical communication, biomedical terminology mapping, privacy-preserving collaborative learning, and knowledge-guided clinical decision support.
