Biography

As the Program Coordinator for Yale’s one-year Consultation -Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship Program, I work closely with the Program Director and the Associate Program Director to develop and implement the curriculum for the fellows under the guidelines of the ACGME. My connection with the fellows begins when I receive their applications, lead them through the interview process and then onto on-boarding, orientation, scheduling and finally culminating with graduation and celebrations. Throughout the year, I am the go-to person for anything and everything. In addition to being the PC, I provide administrative support the Psychological Medicine Section Chief and help to manage a bustling consult service.

I had a long career in nonprofits organizing colloquiums, galas and directing initiatives so I knew a coordinator role here at the university would be a good fit for my skill set. I was also a per diem and part-time employee for many years at Yale New Haven Health. In 2015, I took a position as the office coordinator in an adolescent Intensive outpatient program (IOP). I loved getting to know the kids and their families during their six-week stay. I saw how consistent therapy and dedication from psychiatrists, social workers and counselors could transform lives. Psychiatry proved very interesting to me, so I started to look for different opportunities in the field. While I’m no longer in a patient-facing role, I enjoy assisting the fellows and trainees, and in that way I get my people fix! In addition, my new position has broadened my knowledge about psychiatry and its integrative place in medical care.

I practice yoga consistently and I have also been taking wheel thrown pottery classes for a year. l love attending live music and comedy shows because everyone is there to have fun and forget about the real world for a while! I
