Ni (Trinity) Gao

Ni "Trinity" Gao is a Post-Graduate Research Associate in Yale University's Department of Biomedical Informatics & Data Science, where she works with Dr. Tsung-Ting Kuo on privacy-preserving clinical data systems and multi-modal analysis of electronic health records. She holds an M.S. in Computational Biology and Bioinformatics from Yale and a B.S. in Cognitive Science with a specialization in Neuroscience from the University of California, San Diego, where she graduated magna cum laude.

Her research sits at the intersection of machine learning, clinical data, and trust infrastructure. Her current projects include blockchain-based systems that automate multi-institutional research data requests and pipelines that combine structured EHR data with LLM-extracted clinical features to improve ICU mortality prediction.
