Biography
Dr. Fried completed her medical school education at Harvard and an internship and residency in Primary Care Internal Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital. She did fellowship training in geriatrics, ethics, and clinical effectiveness at Harvard Medical School. She came to the Yale section of geriatrics in 1996 as a clinician investigator, after several years as a clinician-educator at Brown Medical School. Her research interests involve decision-making for older persons with advanced illness and with multiple conditions, with a particular interest in the elucidation of patient preferences.
