Tanvee Varma

Biography

Tanvee Varma is a fourth year medical student at the Yale School of Medicine. She graduated with honors from Wellesley College with a degree in economics and health and society. She was awarded the Fulbright-Nehru Research Scholarship in 2019 to conduct research on public health nutrition in New Delhi.

She is passionate about health justice, advocacy, and bioethics. As an advocate for universal healthcare, she is a board member of Medicare for All Connecticut. She is also conducting research on the representation of women, older adults, and racial and ethnic minorities in clinical research as a researcher at the Cancer Outcomes, Public Policy, and Effectiveness Research Center and Bioethics International.
