Research

Overview

Sasha is a second-year Ph.D. student in Immunobiology at Yale University. As a member of the LaMarche lab, her research focuses on the intersection of neuroscience, immunology, and cancer biology. She is particularly interested in understanding how neuronal signaling influences immune regulation and pre-metastatic niche formation, with an emphasis on sensory neuron-derived neuropeptides, myeloid cell development, and mechanisms of brain and lung metastasis. Her work aims to uncover novel pathways that tumors exploit to reshape systemic immunity, with the long-term goal of identifying therapeutic strategies to block metastatic progression.
