Paul Jay Cohen, MD

Paul J. Cohen, MD, is a pathologist specializing in anatomic pathology. He focuses on examining tissues to diagnose diseases and guide treatment plans for patients. He is adept at understanding the complexities of pathogenic conditions—illnesses caused by microorganisms such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, or parasites—in the body's tissues.

As an associate professor of pathology at Yale School of Medicine, Dr. Cohen carries out research on improving the quality of health care, with particular interest in surgical pathology and respiratory tract diseases.

Dr. Cohen received his medical degree from Columbia University and pursued his residency in anatomic pathology at Massachusetts General Hospital and the National Cancer Institute, where he also completed a pathology fellowship.
