Paul A. Bryant, MD

Dr. Bryant currently serves as Chief Medical Officer of Whiting Forensic Hospital, a 229 bed facility providing psychiatric treatment to individuals involved in the legal system. He is also associate program director of the forensic psychiatry fellowship program. A recognized expert and leader in the fields of forensic and child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Bryant is past president of the Connecticut Psychiatric Society, has served in various leadership roles within the Connecticut Council of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, and chairs the Developmental Disability Committee within the American Academy of Psychiatry and the Law. Dr. Bryant completed medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before going on to complete his postgraduate training at Dartmouth and Yale. He is triple board certified in the areas of psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, and forensic psychiatry.
