Mingfu Yu

Mingfu Yu, MD, MS, is an Assistant Professor of Pathology focused on General Surgical Pathology. Dr. Yu came to Yale Pathology from UConn Health, the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, where she served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Before that, she was Pathologist/Medical Director at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital in Torrington and Pathologist/Medical Director at Johnson Memorial Medical Center in Stafford Springs. Dr. Yu also worked as a Staff Pathologist at Quest Diagnostics as well as Manchester Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Yu earned her Medical Degree at the Third Military Medical University in Chongqing, China, where she also earned her Master of Science from the Department of Pathophysiology. Dr. Yu has served as a Resident in the Department of Pathology at Truman Health Center/University of Missouri and in the Department of Anatomic Pathology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University. She was a Surgical Pathology Fellow as well as a Cytopathology Fellow in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Hartford Hospital. Dr. Yu is board certified in Anatomic Pathology and Cytopathology.
