Megan Teixeira Kolanovic, MHS, PA, PA-C

Megan Teixeira Kolanovic is a board-certified physician assistant at Yale New Haven Hospital (YNHH). She joined Yale in 2011 as a Surgical Float PA after receiving her Masters in Physician Assistant studies at Mercy College. Megan obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology with a minor in Spanish Studies at Iona College. She was a Division I athlete playing soccer during her undergraduate studies.

Megan has been serving as the Medical Information Officer (MIO) for the YNHH Health System since 2018 while continuing to fulfill her clinical role as a Surgical Float PA covering a variety of services such as Emergency General Surgery, Thoracic, ENT, Urology, Endocrine, Orthopedics, Surgical Oncology, Plastics, Colon Rectal, and Minimally invasive surgeries.

Megan is an active member of the American Academy of PAs (AAPA) for over 10 years. Her passion for teaching led her to the Clinical Affiliate Assistant Professor role in the School of Health Sciences at Quinnipiac University since 2019. She is the recipient of multiple YNNH clinical excellence awards including the Extra Miler Award, Special Achievement Award, and advancement to clinical ladder II.
