I currently oversee research financial administration for the Child Study and Psychiatry Integrated Business Office. My career in research administration started when I worked as a research assistant at the Harvard School of Public Health on an NIH R01 developing a middle school curriculum called “Planet Health” that looked at increasing activity. As that grant ended, I got involved in managing grants and moved up to managerial roles at Harvard. Eventually, I got a position at the University of Rhode Island as the the business manager of the Cancer Prevention Research Center. After finishing my master’s degree in accounting, I held a variety of similar positions at different Universities. Eventually, I went back to the University of Rhode Island as the Director of Pre Award. I was promoted to the Director of Research Administration. It was from that position that I chose to relocate to New Haven to be closer to my family and I arrived at Yale School of Medicine in Psychiatry where I have been for the last eight years.
In my spare time, I enjoy knitting, sewing, baking cakes, and kayaking on the CT River. I have a 15 year old son and a COVID Puppy that is now 120lbs named Rosie (French Mastiff). They are both my sources of joy!
