Mark Bromwich

Mark Bromwich is a research associate, currently serving as the lab manager in the Rangaraju lab. He is in charge of purchasing and general upkeep of the lab. He helps maintain the mouse colony and assists in a variety of the lab’s projects where needed. He joined the lab shortly after the lab arrived at Yale University from Emory University, in the spring of 2024.

Prior to arriving at the Rangaraju Lab, Mr. Bromwich worked as a postgraduate associate in the Kaczmarek Lab at Yale School of Medicine, in the department of pharmacology. While there he worked on projects involving the sodium-activated potassium channel Slack (KCNT1). A mutant form of this protein, associated with epilepsy, was the focus of his and other lab members’ research. Mr. Bromwich also worked as a research assistant in the Naegele lab at Wesleyan University, where he worked on 3D neuron reconstructions, in a project on a stem cell treatment for epilepsy. He has an MS in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of New Haven.
