Luke Westhoff

Luke is a Translational Biomedicine graduate student in Dr. Richard Kibbey's Lab, and is interested in the roles glycolytic enzymes play in modulating skeletal muscle function in physiological and disease states.

Luke obtained his B.S. in Biochemistry at Brigham Young University, where he first fell in love with skeletal muscle as he worked as an undergraduate research assistant in the laboratory of Dr. Pam Van Ry studying Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy type 2B. He looks forward to increasing his understanding of the many roles skeletal muscle plays as an integral part of systemic metabolic homeostasis.
