Biography

Lena S. Becker, MD, EBIR joined the Yale Interventional Radiology residency in 2024 after completing her medical degree and radiology training at Hannover Medical School in Germany, where she also earned her German board certification and European Board of Interventional Radiology certification. As a German Research Foundation (DFG)–funded clinician scientist, she completed a medical thesis on MRI parameters in chronic lung allograft dysfunction before focusing her research on AI applications and C-arm CT optimization in interventional radiology. Her commitment to education and research is reflected in a broad portfolio of original research publications and reviews, numerous invited presentations at national and international conferences, and an active role as a journal reviewer and thesis mentor.
