Biography

Kritika Ramesh is an MD-PhD student from Dallas, Texas. She graduated from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Neuroscience, then remained at UT Dallas for two more years, completing a Master's degree in Applied Cognition and Neuroscience with a focus on Computational Modeling and Intelligent Systems. From 2023 to 2026, she worked in the lab of Dr. Takashi Kitamura at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, studying how thalamic inputs influence observational fear-related neural activity in the mouse anterior cingulate cortex. At Yale, she hopes to continue this research on the neural circuits of behavior, utilizing both in vivo and computational models to understand the maladaptive behavior seen in neuropsychiatric conditions.
