Clinical Care
Overview
Kimberly McCoy, PA, is a physician assistant who cares for patients with a wide range of bone, joint, and muscle problems. She works in orthopaedics, helping people with injuries and conditions that affect how they move and function.
In her practice, McCoy evaluates patients with issues such as joint pain, sprains, fractures, arthritis, and overuse injuries. She takes time to listen to each person’s concerns and reviews their medical history, symptoms, and goals. She helps patients understand their diagnosis and discusses treatment options in clear, everyday language so they can make informed choices about their care.
As part of the orthopaedics team at Yale School of Medicine, McCoy works closely with orthopedic surgeons, physical therapists, and other specialists. Together, they create coordinated care plans that may include medications, physical therapy, bracing, injections, or surgery when needed.
McCoy earned her certificate as a physician assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
