Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation
The Yale Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation delivers exceptional orthopaedic care by seeking and developing both surgical and non-surgical innovations, fostering a culture of respect and well-being, and by growing diversity and excellence in our clinical practice, education, and research. Through this work, we support our community both locally and globally.
For the past 40 years, our academic department has been at the forefront of surgical innovation, by designing and implementing cutting-edge technologies and surgical techniques, and performing inventive research in our specialty. We are also proud of our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, across all of our missions.
Welcome to the Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation. I am honored to be the first woman Chair of this department and look forward to building upon the history of excellence in patient care, education, and research that is synonymous with Yale. I am excited to lead the Department of Orthpaedics & Rehabilitation into the future with a commitment to improving patient outcomes and experiences; supporting faculty, residents, and students to achieve excellence; and finding innovative solutions to the problems medicine and orthopaedics face today.
