The Yale Department of Orthopaedics and Rehabilitation is committed to excellence in all areas of musculoskeletal care. Based out of New Haven, the department maintains an integral relationship with Yale New Haven Hospital, with additional satellite offices in surrounding towns.

As an academic department, our surgeons are at the forefront of surgical innovation by practicing cutting edge techniques, implementing the latest technology, and staying apprised of the most up-to-date research for both surgery and patient care. The department also has active ongoing studies in clinical research, bone biology, and biomechanics.

Areas of subspecialty care include General Orthopaedics, Adult Reconstruction/Arthritis, Foot and Ankle, Fracture Problems, Hand and Upper Extremity, Musculoskeletal Oncology, Pediatric Orthopaedics, Physiatry, Podiatry, Shoulder & Elbow, Spine, Sports Medicine, and Laboratory Research.
