Biography

Dr. Jay Moran received his MD from Yale School of Medicine and is currently an Orthopedic Surgery Resident at Yale New Haven Hospital. Dr. Moran has published more than 150 original research articles spanning multiple orthopedic surgery subspecialties. He has been recognized among the top 5% of most-published and most-cited orthopedic surgeons in the United States for three consecutive years (2023–2025), according to Doximity.

Dr. Moran has organized and led several multicenter clinical research studies in collaboration with orthopedic surgeons nationwide. His work has been presented at national and international conferences and published in the highest-impact journals in orthopedic surgery, including The American Journal of Sports Medicine and The Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery. Dr. Moran also serves as a peer reviewer for The American Journal of Sports Medicine.

Dr. Moran’s academic and clinical interests include pediatric and adult sports medicine, with a particular emphasis on arthroscopic surgery and the management of complex sports-related injuries.
