Jennifer Miao, MD

Biography

Jennifer Miao, MD, is a second-year fellow in the Section of Cardiovascular Medicine. Miao trained as a classical pianist with a Major in Music, concentrating on Piano Performance, and also studied English Literature with a focus on literary criticism before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. She completed medical school and residency at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. Her research areas of interest include cardiac amyloidosis and preventive cardiology, and her work has been published in JACC CardioOncology and Journal of the American Heart Association. At Yale, Miao is currently a Chief Cardiology Fellow, medical writer for ABC News, and serves as the Cardiology Deputy Editor for the MedNet.
