The Yale School of Medicine is committed to exploring and using innovative teaching methods to enhance learning and to meet the evolving needs of our students. This commitment has focused on creating a digital, mobile and universally accessible curriculum and includes programs to support faculty in the use of video based technologies with the goal of facilitating in-class learning activities. An overarching principle of these initiatives is to enable faculty to develop curricular resources independently and to receive support in instituting classroom pedagogies that take advantage of online video resources.

Pharmacology Course Director James Howe and Clinician Educator Michael Hodsdon have an idea for developing a teaching tool to help students understand the complexities of pharmacokinetics and drug-receptor interactions. It should demonstrate the application of basic concepts of dosing regimens, drug toxicity, and concentration-response relationships. They engaged the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) to discuss their idea, explore its feasibility, and identify potential solutions.
