Through my Neurology Residency training at Yale, I have gained much satisfaction in treating patients with headache disorders, particularly Veterans with post-traumatic headache (PTH) and other symptoms of traumatic brain injury (TBI). As a graduate student at Drexel, I studied the neuropharmacology of 5-hydroxytryptamine2A receptor compounds, such that show unique therapeutic abilities in headache disorders. I am currently running a clinical trial investigating the effects of such compounds in headache disorders, including PTH. I am also seeking to facilitate access to oxygen for patients with a particularly severe pain disorder, cluster headache.
