Deirdre Branley, MA

Deirdre oversees YSM’s strategic marketing and communications efforts to further elevate the school’s reputation; advance its education, research, and clinical missions; and strengthen YSM’s position as a metrics-driven leader in digital innovation in academic medicine communications. Deirdre works to build relationships across the university and the health system while leading a team of approximately 50 communications professionals and partners closely with more than 40 communications officers across the medical school.

Deirdre brings more than 20 years of experience in strategic communications and reputation management for complex, mission-driven organizations. She joins YSM from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, where she served as executive director of communications. Working closely with executive leadership, she led integrated communications, brand strategy, digital engagement, crisis communications, and stakeholder relations.
