Biography

Dr. Daniel Guevara-Pineda received his MD degree at Federico Villarreal University in Lima – Peru and completed internal medicine residency training at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn NY , He then worked as a primary care and hospitalist physician in New York for few years before starting a Nephrology Fellowship training at the University of Connecticut followed by a Transplant Nephrology Fellowship at Duke University

Dr. Guevara-Pineda has served in several leadership and academic positions He is currently an Assistant Professor at Yale University School of Medicine in the Internal Medicine Department and the Division of Nephrology. The major focus of Dr. Guevara’s practice is kidney transplantation , glomerular disease , expanding medical care to the Hispanic population in the community and medical education

Dr Guevara loves teaching and mentorship of future physicians and healthcare providers. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, music, working out and traveling.
